Sakeena Payne, M.D.
Dr. Payne is a board certified Otolaryngologist-Head and Neck Surgeon specializing in the care of both adults and children. She is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Association of Otolaryngic Allergy. She attended the University of Houston where she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Honors College with a Bachelors of Science Degree. She studied medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. Dr. Payne spent her residency training years at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center and received the Resident Professionalism/Humanism in Surgery Award for the Department of Surgery during her chief year. She was also honored with the Medical Group Dean’s List Extraordinary Patient Satisfaction award, placing her in the 99th percentile among providers nationwide.
Dr. Payne takes great joy and satisfaction in getting to know her patients on a personal level. She strives to ensure that patients thoroughly understand their individual treatment plans and are entirely included in the decision-making process for their care.
Dr. Payne was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. Her parents are originally from India and she is fluent in Gujarati. Her husband is a neurosurgeon and they enjoy spending time outdoors with their daughter and son during their time off.
