The Ear Nose & Throat Centers of Texas Partners with Prosper ISD
The Ear Nose & Throat Centers of Texas are proud to announce a new partnership with Prosper Independent School District (Prosper ISD Website).
Our clinic will be working alongside the school nurses of Prosper ISD to provide education and resources to better evaluate, triage, and manage students with common ear, nose, and throat disorders including strep throat, ear infections, nosebleeds, lacerations, nasal fractures, sinus infections, and nasal allergies. We look forward to the opportunity to serve the students of Prosper ISD to improve health and foster continued education.
We also hope to help nurses and educators understand some of those conditions which can affect academic and even athletic performance in order to raise awareness of treatment options to facilitate the best performance in the class and in the gym of which they’re capable.
Some common conditions that can affect student performance include:
Sleep disorders
Snoring
Obstructive Sleep Apnea
Turbinate Hypertrophy
Deviated Nasal Septum
Allergic Rhinitis
Tonsillar Hypertrophy
Chronic Sinusitis
Chronic Tonsillitis
Vocal Nodules
Hearing Loss
Eustachian Tube Dysfunction
Adenoid Hypertrophy
Otitis Media
Laryngitis
All of these conditions can be assessed and treated and can lead to remarkable improvements in student and athletic performance.
The physicians at the Ear Nose & Throat Centers of Texas have treated professional, college, high school, and younger athletes for many ENT disorders with significant results. Additionally, it has not been uncommon that we have improved the scholastic performance of all ages of patients, particularly with sleep disorders secondary to nasal or throat problems.
If you or your child have any of these conditions or others that you think are contributing to poor academic or athletic performance, please visit us and consider an evaluation at one of our clinics.
