Microscopic Voice Surgery
There are a number of different conditions that may account for a hoarse voice including anything from acid reflux to infections to cancer. At The Ear Nose & Throat Centers of Texas, we have the equipment to diagnose most of these conditions immediately in the office including videostroboscopy—the state of the art in diagnostic evaluation. Additionally, we have access to the latest technology to allow microscopic, minimally invasive surgery if needed. We can even perform laryngeal biopsies in the clinic without the need for the expense and additional recovery of going to the operating room.
Thyroid Surgery
Thyroid nodules are very common and thyroid cancer is one of the few cancers whose incidence is increasing in the United States. Like many other surgical procedures, thyroid surgery has been rapidly advanced in a short amount of time. Diagnostic tests have been improved to determine who are ideal surgical candidates. Minimally invasive techniques have been developed to reduce scar size and recovery time and new surgical tools have decreased the time that the surgery takes. Sometimes the procedure can now even be performed on an outpatient basis. Dr. Champion and Dr. Thrasher utilize all of these new advances to provide their patients with unsurpassed care.
